6:00 PM LIGHT DINNER FOR MEMBERS OF THE KENNEDY HEIGHTS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
7:00 PM THE SYCAMORE COMMUNITY BAND AND THE KENNEDY HEIGHTS PRESBYTERIAN CHOIR will perform a series of show tunes, spirituals and patriotic marches for the annual Kennedy Heights Memorial Day Concert.

Background—Each Memorial Day, the Community Council honors an group of citizens who have made and are making a significant contribution to the quality of life in our surrounding neighborhoods. Kennedy Heights has a rich tradition of military, civilian, and private citizens who have over the course of the years contributed personally to the safety, maintenance and beauty of our community.
Past honorees have been 2006 – TUSKEGEE AIRMEN ; 2007- LOCAL FIREFIGHTERS IN AMBERELEY VILLAGE, CITY OF CINCINNATI, SILVERTON-DEER PARK; 2008- VETERANS AND HEROES IN THE IRAQ AND PAKISTAN. THIS YEAR – 2009 – THE COMMUNITY COUNCIL WILL FETE THE FOUNDERS AND MEMBERS OF THE KENNEDY HEIGHTS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH ON THE OCCASION OF THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY IN OUR COMMUNITY.
The SYCAMORE COMMUNITY BAND is under the direction of Mr. Pete Metzger (American Standards and Patriotic songs.)
The KENNEDY HEIGHTS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH CHOIR is under the direction of Janet Langhorst (Spirituals)
The official proclamation and concert will begin at 7:00 PM. Members of the KENNEDY HEIGHTS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH community are invited for a light dinner in the Arts Center at 6:00 (RSVP 631-4278). There is ample parking for members on the Arts Center Ground, at the adjacent Kalomeres Building and across Montgomery Road (ballet Tech parking lot) and across Kennedy Avenue in the former Kroger Company parking lot.
